PLEASE NOTE: The 2022 Essential Theatre Play Festival will be in person July 29-August 28, 2022 at the West End Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, GA. Rehearsals will take place in various locations in the metro area, generally during weekday evenings and weekend days, in June and July.

This year our two full productions (John Mabey’s A Complicated Hope and Daniel Carter Brown’s The Outrage Machine) have the following casting requirements:

A COMPLICATED HOPE by John Mabey
One female, African-American, 40s/50s
One female, African-American, early 20s
One male, white, 40s

THE OUTRAGE MACHINE by Daniel Carter Brown
This play has a large number of characters, and there will be some doubling. We’re looking for a highly diverse cast, mostly in the 20-40 age range. There is one open-gender non-white character who could be older, up into the 50-60 age range.

Other Opportunities
But we will also be casting for staged readings that are still being identified, so any actors are welcome to submit general auditions. All actor positions will be paid.
